To be fair to Adobe, I did trial LR CC Classic but saw virtually nothing to tempt me away from LR 6 which will in future mainly just be used for importing, printing and full screen JPEG viewing though even in this field, it's days are probably numbered.

It may well be that by the summer, it will also be a serious competitor but I doubt very much they will be close to the masking and local editing features of ON1.

On Luminar, because the PC version is still miles behind the Mac one, I will have to reserve judgement until it's somewhat finished with the promised DAM. Anyway, if you really like the Fuji emulations, they have been promised for ON1 in due course. I also find the starting point to be very natural in general - less bland than LR's "Adobe standard" but less contrasty than the Provia or Astia presets. ON1 is virtually on a par in detail but offers far more than X-Transformer + LR in getting the image the way you want. I then googled Perfect Resize and got ON.1 and downloaded on my separate. New RAW Engine Resize 2018 features the new RAW processing engine from ON1 Photo RAW. You can even apply gallery wrap or watermarks on the fly. Not only can you control the size, but the file type, naming, location, etc. Although in terms of pure resolution detail, it is certainly second to none, neither the "look" nor the colour rendition are always convincing. The Export feature in Resize 2018 makes it easy to process a single photo, a handful or hundreds of them. I'm afraid I've never been entirely convinced by X-Transformer. I would love to be able to drop LR so have high hopes for Luminar. On1 is doing so well with layers and the interface works so well I seldom leave it.

On occasion I use Luminar and I use Affinity Photo instead of PS. All my processing is done in ON1 PR2017 (2018 when the beta is done).

Adobe Photoshop CC, CC 2014-2015, CC 2015 Choose people with similar skin tones While the position of a face and its landmarks are useful, you can also find out more information about each face detected in your app through some built-in methods from. If Luminar is capable of maintaining this file naming structure I will be switching. Faceover Lite lets you easily copy faces between people in your photos-and it even looks real. LR keeps both the RAW and Jpg associated with it, the same name. The other issue is that I shoot both RAW + Jpg (I have my reasons) and most applications treat them as two separate files when naming them on import which makes it difficult to keep them together without a ridiculous work-around. The other come close but nothing like the following: For those continuing with an LR/PS workflow, On1 Photo RAW 2018 installs, and works as an LR& PS plugin as it did in the past. Much easier to find photographs and keeps the folder window clean and organized. one.All the usual familiar stuff, including nondestructive layers, and Resize are available, and there are plenty of tutorials available for learning the finer points. Since 2005 I have been using a date system and use keywording for searches. I do not use a confusing shoot based naming system like “flowers” ‘holiday” etc., etc.

I have Media Pro, CaptureOne, and Ingestamatic but only LR does it correctly. At the moment I am stuck using LR to import my photos because of how I file them.
